Cleaning expert Manish Jain, founder of Ministry of Cleaning , has revealed that using a sock on your radiator can make it heat your home more effectively. He said: "Radiators become a breeding ground for dust which can make your heating less efficient. But he also warns people to ensure the radiator is turned off and completely cool before cleaning to avoid burns. Dust appears out of nowhere and can even make an appearance minutes after wiping your household surfaces. A small amount of ketchup on a clean cloth can be rubbed into dull and limescale-covered taps to leave them sparkling.
Manish says: "The trick is to let the ketchup sit for a few minutes before wiping it off so the acid in it can break down any grime. Plus, it even works on copper pans and pots. You should, however, avoid using this hack on marble or porous surfaces, as the acidity in ketchup may cause discolouration. Allow it to cool and then use the liquid to wipe down any glass and mirrored surfaces with a microfibre cloth. Manish explains: "Tea contains tannins that break down grease and smudges so you can wave goodbye to expensive glass cleaners and enjoy a much cheaper shine!
This will make cleaning them easier in the future. Simply rub a damp rubber glove over the affected area to collect the fur and hair in seconds, advises Manish. He adds: "It works effectively on car seats too as the static from the gloves pick up fur and hair - even better than most hoovers. My Account.
