If you are a bit on the older side and during the conversation they ask your age then it is an issue to them. Very unique experience. I've even gotten phone numbers and hooked up with girls from Bush taxis. The "good girls" don't like to give out phone numbers in front of other locals. Gambia sure does feel laid back, safe, and friendly. Just much colder than I anticipated tho Neddy told me it's usually warmer. Neddy is a wealth of info on Africa as he has quite a history of living in and traveling to various countries around the continent. I think he and I both prefer day game to night game as the bars attract harder core types on average.
