Betty Jean Anderson, 82, beloved wife and mother to two of Sandy, UT, joined her husband in heaven on January 6, Betty was the youngest of five siblings. Growing up she enjoyed riding horses and racing fast cars, a skill her family teased her about still using while driving the streets in Sandy. Betty attended high school and then served a mission in Ontario, Canada before moving to Utah and attending Brigham Young University.
She tenaciously learned new skills, worked hard for her family as well as created fun memories with them. Betty lived her life in a joyful, energetic way that uplifted those around her. Known for her love of teaching primary children and diet coke, she cheered up everyone who met her. Her signature southern drawl, red hair and wide smile made her many lifelong friends. Betty was preceded in death by husband Harvey, and is survived by Josh and BJ βwho learned essential life lessons from her undiminished hope, unconquerable spirit, and unconditional love.
