In this play by Kae Tempest, there is what is outside and what is inside, the prison world and the other side, with its promises, its dangers and its possible failures. And then a third space, the inner life. And it is from the porosity of these spaces that beauty and the poetic act emerge. Finally, Dan Carey's music fills the prison universe.
It is music that forms the basis of friendship, the secret language between two women that ultimately seals the community. By taking hold of memory and the body, she starts from reality and carries the voices of those who are silenced, to make the silences heard and to see the scars of History.
