Our conversation is focused on navigating what friend's family and community might think of the Waldorf approach, while toward the end of the episode we also get to explore dealing with feeling, "not Waldorf enough". I so dislike that term, but I think those feelings can be so real and I'm glad we were able to take some time to address those feelings head on in this episode.
In this episode we're discussing all things "Waldorf Early Childhood". What happens in a Waldorf early childhood, pre-school, or childcare setting? What does a typical day look like? How can we bring these ideas into our home life with young children?
What about potty training? Is there a "Waldorf approach", and many more topics are explored in this episode. I had an amazing time interviewing Simone for this episode.
She was really the perfect guest for this final episode of the fifth season. In many of the episodes of season five we've been touching on expanding on Waldorf, but Simone really goes into depth on this.
She speaks not just about grade eight, but how she's expanded on the "traditional" Waldorf curriculum in other grades as well. I loved all the episodes of this fifth season, but I have to say my conversation with Simone for this episode is my favorite.
