IKEA has opened a pop-up Swedish food market - complete with its world-famous meatballs, hot dogs and cinnamon buns. Shoppers can stock up on their favourite menu items, which are sold frozen at the Tempe store in the inner west of Sydney. Home cooks can recreate the popular dish at home using the chain's iconic meatballs, paired with mashed potatoes, cream sauce and lingonberry jam. Those with a sweet tooth can enjoy the buttery cinnamon buns covered in nib sugar with a cup of hot coffee or tea. The store is open every day from 10am to 5pm for the remainder of the New South Wales lockdown period. All customers will need to do is check-in using a QR code, comply to social distancing rules including mask-wearing, and pay by Eftpos only.
