You will learn about the secrets of the human body and its pathologies to be able to choose the proper ways and procedures to relieve pain and improve the functions of individual body systems. As a massage therapist, you will learn not only the techniques of classical and sports massage but also special therapeutic methods.
You will get hands-on experience with Thai, Hawaiian and shiatsu massage, aromatherapy, volcanic rocks, and cupping therapy. A vocational course of Sports and Reconditioning Masseur is classified among personal and operational services. A graduate is also competent to provide counselling services in the field of physical activity, healthy lifestyle and body care.
As part of the physical procedures, a graduate may perform hydrotherapy or thermotherapy procedures. The teaching language is Czech. The education is organised in a four-year day course with a school-leaving examination - maturita. Teaching takes places in classrooms for general education subjects and in vocational classrooms. Pupils participate in a coherent four-week work practice course in the third year of their study at selected workplaces.
