I was on my way to work and realized I was going to be early. Therefore, I agreed to arrive the same time as our Office Manage at a. However, I was there at 8 a. So, I decided to bike up and down the streets of Parkdale, which is when I stumbled upon Trenton Terrace, a secret laneway. Just north of Springhurst Ave. The homes were built as worker cottages by John Coatsworth and garnered a lot of controversy from the middle class in the area. Apparently there was such an uproar that another housing development similar to Trenton Terrace was cancelled.
The laneway is a dead end, but is super beautiful with the distinct characteristics of each home and the gardens that line the path.
If I was a property owner, I would be suspicious of everyone. However, I truly enjoyed taking in the area. The home is very cozy and has natural light, vaulted ceilings, open concept areas, hardwood floors, exposed brick and a stunning loft space. Its neighbour at 16 Trenton Terrace went on the market in and has similar characteristics.
