First Alert 4 - A St. Charles County man is facing two felony charges after police said he was caught taking pictures up the skirts of multiple women inside a store. Kevin Clayton is charged with two counts of felony invasion of privacy. Prosecutors requested his probation be revoked, adding he was on probation for the same offense stemming from a similar incident in Lake Saint Louis in According to police, on Sunday, a caller told police she witnessed a man inside a Dollar Tree store on Highway K taking inappropriate pictures of women while they were shopping.
Both victims told police Clayton pushed the basket under or in between their legs while they were shopping. One of the victims told police she was in the process of squatting down to view an item on a lower shelf when she observed a basket in between her legs containing a phone.
When police arrived, Clayton had left the scene, but police said a detailed description of him and his car led officers to find and arrest him about a half hour later.
During an interview, police said he admitted to recording inappropriate videos of two women inside the store without their consent. Charles Prosecuting Attorney Joe McCulloch is asking people who may recognize Clayton and think they were a victim to please come forward. People have to come forward to us and make sure we get notified of it so we can attempt to locate any other victims.
If he posts bond, he must wear a GPS monitor under house arrest. Online court records show that in , Clayton was charged with invasion of privacy in a similar incident but was sentenced to five years probation in January McCulloch said Clayton can face up to four years in prison for each of these charges.
