Flagstaff may be a small town, but one thing that Flagstaff is big on is restaurants. It seems like new ones pop up almost weekly. Yes, where they have something to do other than play with the salt, sugar packets, and forks. Whatever they are, they are pretty cool and do a decent job of entertaining the kids for a bit! MIX has casual, open seating inside and outdoor patio seating. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner and are located in The Old Town Shops downtown. Chick-Fil-A β Sometimes we need a quick, fast food option for the kids, but we also still need the entertainment factor.
Chick-Fil-A on Milton has a great indoor play area. I like to grab a seat near the enclosed jungle gym so I can either watch through the glass or go in quickly myself. This play area is nice because when they kids climb up to the different levels, it is all enclosed so they cannot possibly fall off and break every bone in their body like at a traditional outdoor park jungle gym.
There are also sanitizing wipes right by the play area door yesssss. At both Toasted Owl locations, south of the tracks downtown and on the east side on Cortland Blvd. She always picks out a few toys on the way to our table and then drops them back off when we are on our way out. Super simple and it keeps her occupied for the whole meal! Toasted Owl serves breakfast and lunch. Black Barts Steakhouse β Black Barts on Butler is a steakhouse and saloon with a live musical revue nightly.
The staff, mainly made up of NAU theater majors, play songs from all decades and genres β even Disney! So put those cute little cowboy boots on the littles and head on over for dinner!
