Our City Arborists are conducting daily assessments to identify and address trees that could pose risks to our primary power lines, especially those on private property. Homeowners are notified when a tree is identified as a threat, and removal is requested through a contracted tree service. To further prevent outages, we have partnered with Aidah, a leader in satellite data and AI-driven vegetation management.
This initiative, approved on July 15, , helps us manage vegetation around our power lines and critical infrastructure more effectively.
By optimizing maintenance schedules and ensuring regulatory compliance, we aim to reduce the risk of outages caused by overgrowth or falling trees. A comprehensive Power System Study, approved on April 18, , is being conducted to assess the performance of our electrical distribution system. This study covers load flow, fault current potential, arc flash hazards, and device coordination to enhance the safety, reliability, and efficiency of our power system.
