The 2-hectare project will enable the hotel to be self-sufficient in certain varieties of vegetables, plants and herbs. Working closely with ECOMED naturalists and a bird protection league, the Domaine has drawn up a precise inventory of the surrounding flora and fauna to preserve. Endemic species such as the oscelate lizard and the pelobat toad are protected, in addition to installing ten nesting boxes for the 16 different species of bats in the Natural Park.
Cooking classes with vegetables from the garden and agro-forestry farm tours are open to guests and members of the local community including school children, where they can learn about composting and honey production. A green walk is also organised bi-monthly to clear the grounds of waste and recycle it.
