A coalition of rural action groups is protesting against the Ministry of Public Health and the Bhumjaithai Party in Bangkok for the decision to transfer a popular doctor from his post in the south. The action groups said the decision was politically motivated because the doctor being transferred had questioned ministry directives and party policies. They called for voters not the vote for the Bhuamjaithai Party at the next general election which is slated for May to prevent Health Minister Anutin from coming back into power.
