These two are absolutely adorable together as we discovered for ourselves during their Carpinteria Beach engagement session.
So, after that, we knew we were in for an amazing day. Emma started with all the girls at Beyond the Fringe for hair and make-up. I met Shawn and his groomsmen at his apartment and boy were they ready for me!
What a fun day this was going to be. After everyone was ready, we were off to the First Look at what would end up being the site for the reception. Bridgeport at Valencia is a beautiful clubhouse venue nestled among views that make you feel instantly transported outside Southern California. From there, it was ceremony time! We headed up to Saint Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Church and got ourselves acquainted with this majestic place. Father Vivian Ben Lima led everyone through the mass and ceremony and provided thoughtful insight into marriage and what brings us together.
We took advantage of a few hidden gems around the property for all the bridal party and couple photos. Then it was time to party! I know I have said it before, but one of my favorite parts of the reception is the toasts. It is our chance to get a small glimpse into the lives of these two families and we get to hear all the history that happened before we were even introduced. This reception did not disappoint. An epic dessert bar, by Cake Goodness, was in store.
But, why not add on some cookies, frosting shots, and cake pops with your cake! Then it was time for some dancing⦠and was there ever some dancing. Chris Mowery with Just Dance Events kept the flow going and made sure the dance floor was packed. As the night wound down, we bid farewell to the amazing couple and all the family we had gotten to know through the course of the evening. This entire day was such a blast it was hard to narrow it down, but here is just a little glimpse!
