The new Sustainable Development Goals, Agenda , adopted in September by all Member States, calls for a people-centered development approach, a life of dignity for all, leaving no one behind. This requires at the Country level policies and actions that are informed by a systematic analysis of population dynamics and its implications. Together with the Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation, and the Advocacy and Communications units, the Population, Data and Research Unit constitute the backbone of programme management, knowledge management and advocacy based on proved data and results.
You will be under the overall strategic guidance of the Representative and direct supervision of the Deputy Representative. UNFPA is the lead UN agency for delivering a world where every pregnancy is wanted, every childbirth is safe and every young person's potential is fulfilled. The current UNFPA's strategic plan , focuses on three transformative results: to end preventable maternal deaths; end unmet need for family planning; and end gender-based violence and harmful practices.
