The development of industrial parks has been recognized as an efficient way to bring together industrial activities with commercial and infrastructure services. AGESPI is the institution in charge of the implementation of the Government's policy for the development and management of industrial parks in the Republic of Guinea.
AGESPI offers investors wishing to establish themselves in the Republic of Guinea with an attractive environment for strengthening their competitiveness by providing them with land and infrastructure to international standards. A total of ha of land holdings distributed among 8 industrial development zones, all located in the region of Conakry and surroundings, has been designated by the State for industrial use. To date the state has only provided the land, subdivided it into Industrial Lots and installed basic laterite access road infrastructure.
The companies looking to establish themselves in these industrial areas were forced to invest in standalone power and water supply and distribution systems and networks.
The proposed new industrial permit area was significantly reduced to approximately ha due to encroachment. Pegging of the revised industrial permit is planned for June and July and then the land title will be approved. A number companies have signed lease agreements with the State and have established operations and industries. At this stage land is leased to the Industries by the state.
