It was getting late when I rode down here and it looked liked the perfect place to camp by the river. Also sign with entrance fees too.. I didn't pay anything. I just asked the friendly woman if I could sleep by the river which doesn't look like her property and she said no problem. I can't imagine she owns the area by the river but maybe on weekends or something people come to picnic and colllects small fees?
There's evidence of little camp fires etc.. She has cold drinks too. Dogs bark but are friendly. I had a very quiet night,no bugs,a wash in the river etc. Loads of space for RV's I'd say of any size. Lovely spot off the highway. Morrie is an extremely cool and very nice guy from New Zealand who rents out good quality boards and gives surflessons too. Nice BLM with great views of the moutains and the city.
Still spots to park it. Worth the small offroad drive. Even spot to pick a tent. Absolutely beautiful. We went right up to a spot near some rocks. Even a bit of basic bouldering. Not visible from road. Beautiful scenery of mountains, lagoon, and rocks. Definitely would stay again. Stayed here one night to do the enladrillo hike. Arrived at 6pm but no one. Park inside behind the tree on the left. The ranger arrived like at 11am but said nothing.
Next morning still no one When at the entrance, a lady was there and told us that the enladrillo was not open yet and we could walk the 2km to the office center inside to ask confirmation. We didn't and we left. Parking lot with no overnight signs. Two other camper vans here when we arrived. Fairly quiet through the night. All other surrounding lots had no overnight signs so make sure to go into the first lot on the left after turning off N.
