Even from a first glance, this prompt can be so many different things, all equally intimidating. That one person who does something selfish or reckless, and the consequences result in a guilt or shame that eats us alive. The wonderful thing about this prompt is that it can be shaped into something much less negative, too.
Maybe the beast is just an insanely high IQ which makes people feel intimidated, even inferior. What if we took this in a more literal direction? What if these beasts were real? Whatever beast you decide to unleash this week, throw us in the ring with it. Remember, this is part of our weekly Writing Group stream!
