Matt grew up loading hoppers for his dad, an ag aviator in the Great Plains of Oklahoma. Being raised in a farming community, on an airport instilled both a persistent temperament and a love of aviation in Matt. His stepmother is an aviation attorney serving the Texas Panhandle region. Her roots in law served to help Matt have the insights necessary to develop thriving businesses. After his father flew west while in the line of service as an aerial applicator, Matt shied away from a career in aviation.
When he and Lisa finished college, they built a lawn care business into one of the largest horizontal construction businesses in the southeast. Having spent 20 years in c-suite leadership in the construction industry, wishing every day that he worked in a trade he loved. When the opportunity presented to leave the construction industry he seized it.
After a couple of years pondering next steps for his life and family he knew he strived for work to generate joy. Merging his proactive nature with his love of all aircraft a second career in aviation sales made sense. A typical brokerage was not enough, the business had to be efficient and transparent.
