I picked this up on another forum, cant attest to the accuracy but think it deserves consideration amongst those of you who support the unicorn tears and pixie dust party. It should be noted that Mr. Layton was at this sex business during late night hours outside a regular business schedule. The girl Layton was found with was not a licensed or registered therapist and as I understand she was in Canada illegally being used in the sex trade. In the issue of Massage Parlours and the sex businesses were a hot button item with Toronto Council and Mr.
Layton was a leading opponent against strip clubs etc. Layton has always been a supporter sex workers rights and while Ms. Layton Olivia Chow has stated that her husband did nothing wrong this is presented as her statement in the context undefined…meaning she speaking from a moral position not a criminal one. That location was run by organized asian crime gangs that had a history of blackmail and extortion.
Since the men that frequent massage parlours tend to visit them regularly there is no way to now if Jack Layton then city counsellor had been extorted or blackmailed in the past or afterwards. That issue needs to be considered by the public before they vote and put this man in a position where the risk is possible.
While many media outlets will shun this for their own reasons the reality is jealousy of the Sun et al. The issue is not about is it right or is it wrong…the issue is credibility, risks of past or future extortion and the hypocrisy that Jack Layton represents.
