Two juveniles and one adult were arrested following a carjacking. On Wednesday, January 29, , at approximately a. When they arrived, officers contacted a man who said his vehicle was stolen at gunpoint by numerous individuals.
About an hour later, the stolen vehicle was spotted in the area of Southeast nd Avenue and Southeast Ankeny Street. Eventually, the vehicle crashed into a garbage truck near the intersection of Northeast th Avenue and Northeast Davis Street.
Three suspects fled on foot but they were located and arrested. One of the individuals was carrying a gun and it was recovered. One suspect has been identified as Julian D. Lane, 27, of Gresham. Anyone with information is asked to contact crimetips police. The suspect in the Wednesday St. Johns Neighborhood tactical incident is identified as Adam P. Klinko, 34, of Portland. Additionally, he was charged with Escape in the Third Degree for running from police, as well as Domestic Violence Strangulation 2 counts and Domestic Violence Assault in the Fourth Degree related to previous incidents in October and November of in Portland.
