Sherry brings more than twenty-five years of experience in leadership, project management, and strategic planning, most recently in her role as Library System Director for the Northern Waters Library Service in Ashland, Wisconsin. Sherry played a key role in formulating a new state funding formula for Wisconsin public library systems and served as Wisconsin Library Association President for two pandemic-affected years.
She is also active in advocating for libraries at the federal level through the American Library Association, which named her an Emerging Leader in Sherry looks forward to moving to the Twin Cities and taking on this new role: "I'm thrilled to join MELSA and contribute to the vibrant public library community in the Twin Cities metro area.
