Ryan D. Schultz, 10th St. North, was sentenced to 90 days in the Brown County Jail in a staggered sentence with three separate segments beginning Jan. The final two jail segments may be deferred by the court. Conditions include successful completion of an outpatient sex offender program, no contact with persons under age 18, no alcohol or controlled substance use and no use or possession of firearms, ammunition or explosives.
He was arrested in an Aug. Law enforcement used a New Ulm apartment to conduct the sting. In one of the messages, an investigator told Schultz that she loves a specific sex act and marijuana, according to court documents. Schultz replied that he could provide both. The investigator gave Schultz an undercover phone number.
The investigator said she was 16 and asked Schultz if he could buy alcohol. He picked up the investigator, a female officer, before he was arrested and taken to jail where he was held for two days.
Law enforcement said they received more than calls in two days. A total of eight people β five men and three women β were arrested for various crimes in the sex string. A year-old Garretson, S. Six other suspects faced misdemeanor prostitution charges.
