What people say Although dated, I was in awe of the grandness of this hotel. We chose this hotel as it is close to the football stadium. The breakfast was varied and good. Staff were magnificent and they even added the personal touch of making a beautiful St George cake for breakfast.
The cleaners were really very friendly and sociable. The female receptionist was also very helpful. The bed was comfy. Double spiral stair case reminded us of home.
Although renovation is underway it wasn't too noisy. Hospitality, friendly staff, fair food, excellent location. The price in comparise with place near the center. Friendly and helpful staff. Good central location. Good Location and easy to find. Central to city centre.

Had trouble sleeping. Room next to flat roof and with the heavy rain was very noisy. Quite old hotel; it's in the process of renovation, but I hope that hospitality will stay :. The furnitures of the towlet didn't like at all. Showing it's age. Quite noisy and the hotel was not renovated yet but announced, that this will happen. Arrived late at night and was given 2 very shabby dirty rooms. The bathroom was also very dirty. It was only then that we realised there was major works going on in the hotel, they are building an extension.
