International exchange programs give law students a chance to increase their intercultural knowledge, enhance their legal educations and improve their communication skills through international experience and comparative law studies.
Students participating in an international exchange program may also pursue an international field placement while studying abroad. International Exchange Programs Portal. Located only a 15 - minute train ride from Brussels, KU Leuven gives students the opportunity to meet professors and international lawyers who are affiliated with the law faculty. A research university in the heart of the city of Leuven, KU Lueven consistently ranks in the top universities in the world.
There are more than 50, students across all faculties. Each year the International Programs department and the Office of Financial Aid work together to create an appropriate semester or year budget for the exchange program. This budget is based on the UConn Law rate of tuition plus the living costs associated with the program.
Students choosing to study at KU Leuven can opt to attend the university for the full academic year or for one semester in the fall and spring. Students have a wide range of opportunities for coursework and also the potential for practical learning opportunities. Courses are taught on a wide range of topics focused on local and international law. Leuven is a historic city, with more than , inhabitants, and KU Leuven is the largest university in Belgium.
