William Michael Bill Beauvais, 59, of Lubbock, formerly of Midland, returned home to the Lord Saturday, June 21, after a brief illness with his immediate family attending his side.
Their family then moved to Morgan City, Louisiana in where his sister, Teressa, was born. Due to transfer, they were then relocated to Hobbs, New Mexico, where Bill finished his high school education graduating at Hobbs High School.
He went on to complete his education with a Bachelors of Business Administration and, later, a Masters degree in Mass Communications from the University of Texas Tech both with honors. The pride of his life was the birth of his son, Curtis Brian Beauvais.
One of his greatest moments was watching his son complete a degree also from Texas Tech with a Masters in Physician Assistant studies also with honors. Bill had a long, proud career utilizing his degree in newspaper advertising. He worked with several papers across the state of Texas, but his greatest professional achievement was a career of 25 years service with the Midland Reporter Telegram. Bill was also very active in the Midland local community. He was preceded in death by both of his parents and his step father.
He is also survived by eight nieces and nephews as well as his many cousins from Oklahoma. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to his local charity efforts with the Big Brothers and Sisters and United Way of Midland in Bill's name. He will continue to be loved, remembered, and missed.
