City officials recommend waiting until after 4 p. Wednesday to start saving spaces. Any kind of tape, strings attached to stakes, tarps or blankets are prohibited from being placed on the grass, sidewalk or other hard surfaces. City officials will remove them if spotted. Any form of painting on the grass, sidewalk or other hard surfaces to save a spot is prohibited. Using chalk to mark spaces on the sidewalks or hard surface areas is allowed, but not on the grass.
Signage asking for cooperation will be placed along the parade route at Lincoln Park and City Hall by city staff on Monday. However, there are signs around the campus that remind people to use grass-safe marking paint instead of stakes and string lines.
This allows UNC workers to continue the upkeep of the area before the parade. UNC officials will discard any physical items left after the parade, so make sure to double-check your items before leaving the parade.
Anybody with questions about the spot-saving recommendations and guidelines is asked to call the Greeley Parks Division at By Zant Reyez reyez prairiemountainmedia. More in Entertainment.
