Antonia Couling is a qualified garden designer and garden historian, and a certified horticulturist. She grew up in Brent, North London, but was born in Rome and comes from a family made up of several nationalities.
This international background has informed her design journey over the years. Antonia has a special interest in the well-being potential of gardens and gardening and her passion for history led to a Masters in Garden and Landscape History at the Institute of Historical Research at University College London. Axmed was born in Xamar, Somalia where he spent his early years until his family had to flee during the civil war and ended up in the Netherlands.
Through his writing and the workshops he facilitates, Axmed addresses systemic inequalities in Dutch society, in the underground dance music scene and beyond. And since joined the organizing and curation committee of Halloquium, a fully independent Trans and Queer led conference on nightlife. Ana Rocha Porto, is a freelance producer, curator, choreographer, performer, dramaturg and sometimes writer.
In short, she has been working in the cultural and artistic field as a mediator for 20 years. Anahi is a London based creative researcher, writer, producer, cultural worker and community organiser.
As a creative practitioner her practice revolves around a creative research process that leads to creating anything from playlists and sounds to writing or collaborating with others. She is passionate about bringing research techniques to creative outputs and collaborating with artists to create multidisciplinary works. Archives are a core part of her work and she often works from her own collected archive of sounds, notes and family photographs. She is interested in themes of collective memory and how we can use archives to tell unseen stories and collectively re-imagine history and the future.
