At Caretenders Hospice , we understand that volunteers are an integral part of end-of-life care. Our volunteers make connections with terminally ill residents who need a hand to hold, a heart to listen, or have a story to share.
Massage Therapy is one of the only ways terminal patients can find comfort without using medications. Some of our patients lack relaxation and a caring human touch; massage therapy can help accomplish these areas. We will provide you with knowledge on hospice and how our programs works, but leave it to the massage therapist to assess the patient and what they believe are their needs.
If you are a Licensed Massage Therapist who would like to help hospice patients manage their pain or to simply help them relax. We have people throughout the Twin Cities in desperate need of your talent. Caretenders Hospice serves people residing in their own residence, which may include private homes, skilled nursing facilities, assisted and independent living communities, and memory care units. Most of our volunteers commit approximately hours of their time each week.
Our visiting times are flexible and individualized to what is best for the resident as well as the volunteer. Please contact us to share your gifts and time.
