Visa appointments are scheduled exclusively through the e-visa platform. New dates are released approximately every two weeks, at the beginning and end of each month.
Prospective applicants are encouraged to regularly check the e-visa platform for available appointments. The consular section of the embassy of Portugal accepts visa applications exclusively through online appointments. Applications by e-mail will not be considered.

The consular section may not accommodate requests based on arrangements made by prospective applicants without checking for available appointments or visa requirements first, such as such as already paid travel arrangements or accommodation, expiry of residence permits or commitments that applicants made without first checking visa requirements, application procedures or deadlines.

Applicants may provide proof of identity by presenting themselves and their valid identification document at the consular section upon applying for a visa. Your application will be refused if false, insufficient, or untrustworthy information is provided. Access the e-visa platform to schedule your visa application. Documents issued abroad only take effect in the Portuguese legal order if they have the apostille or after they have been translated into Portuguese and legalized.
