We recognize that you are a busy person with a busy life, so we have created an online learning model that works with you and for you. You will find flexible course scheduling throughout each semester with our week, week, and 7-week options. Support for the development of online programs is provided to faculty through a collaborative course building process with various College divisions and the Learning Innovation Hub. Faculty credentialing, modality of course design, and modality of the scheduled course must all align.
Individual course design support is provided by the Hub team of instructional designers to faculty. All academic programs proposed for fully online delivery must be developed in collaboration with CDL and offered as part of the UCF Online catalog. Prepared and empowered faculty members are critical to delivery of quality online learning courses and student success.
Therefore, QC requires all faculty full-time, part-time and adjuncts to be trained to teach online courses. The trainings from the Hub provide faculty members with development and support for teaching using digital learning materials within a backwards design and outcomes assessment model. Fully online learning experiences that offer time for independent work, active learning engagement and interaction with instructors and peers.
You will have an opportunity at least 3 times each semester to virtually live interact with your instructor and peers. These sessions are optional, but strongly recommended. All virtual sessions are recorded and placed in the course. You will still engage with your instructors and peers, but instead of virtual or face-to-face discussions, you will participate in online discussions and submit your assignments online.
