More than sculptures that are on display in the immediate surroundings of the museum and in other locations across the town of Kostanjevica na Krki, were created in the period , and after a short hiatus again biannually since at the International Symposium of Sculptors Forma viva, with international participation of sculptors from all over the world. The sculptures, which are created by the participants over a period of one month, remain in their natural environment.
They are created almost exclusively from oak wood, which is a typical material for this geographical area. In the early years, the event in Kostanjevica na Krki took place every year, but it slowed down after to become a biennial, and eventually went into hiatus in After ten years of dormancy, Forma viva in Kostanjevica na Krki resumed in and has been held biennially up to this day.
He comes from an artisan family, where he gained experience and knowledge of stone working and other sculptural skills from childhood. Since he has been working at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb as an associate professor. He graduated from the Sculpture Department of the Hungarian University of Fine Arts in , where he has been teaching since , and is currently the Head of the Sculpture Department there. His artistic practice usually uses organic, natural materials, while his conceptual focus is on interpreting questions of space, matter and natural balance.
