E verything started in when Juliette and Pierre Brix bought the Hotel de France, a former coach house dating from , two street away from the port and 2km from the Hougue tower. Juliette an excellent cook spoiled her regular customers with produce direct from the family farm which Pierre continued to run. The hotel expanded with the purchase of the house next door in by their son Jean Pierre and his wife Isabelle who had joined this family venture in , the expansion was terminated in with the addition of the Fantasy Pavilion.
