No, scratch that, I love sex. I would have sex five times a day if I could, and I have in the past when I was in a relationship. All of that aside, there are many people out there that would love to try and shame me for expressing my sexuality outside of a relationship.
It should not matter, but for some people, it really does. There are an astounding amount of men out there that feel this way, case and point the above mentioned article and the slew of sexist comments that came underneath it.
Not all men feel this way certainly, but enough for me to have to write about it. In fact, I once had this very conversation with one of my male friends. We were discussing sex, as it happened, being the kindred spirits that we are. God forbid I am self confident and enjoy sex. What are you gonna do, bury me up to my head and stone me to death?
As long as you are being safe about sex, there should be no consequences. Never mind that my closest friends are female, and that I respect them in the highest of regards. It is this kind of thinking that is extraordinarily dangerous, not to mention sexist as the day is long. It goes without saying that it takes two to tango, but of course, as the old story goes, women are whores, men are bachelors.
Oh well. So fuck you, guy, and other guys who think this way. I have sex with strangers, I have sex with people I have loved, and I have sex because I like it. Get over yourself and your caveman notions that the male gender is the only one that is allowed to have sex with more than one partner.
