This EMBO Workshop attracts scientists from all around the world, who would normally not meet, that have diverse expertise and use various research models from invertebrates to mammals. Each meeting approaches regeneration from different angles. This meeting is meant to propel our understanding of the field, the underlying molecular and cellular mechanisms, stimulate discussions, and foster the development of new perspectives and collaborations.
The overall goal of this EMBO Workshop is to significantly advance our understanding of how regeneration is coordinated in a whole animal or organ, providing new venues and opportunities to enhance the non- or reduced mammalian regenerative capacities and develop more effective therapeutic approaches to convert healing into regeneration. Organisers are encouraged to implement measures to make the meeting environmentally more sustainable.
Participants will be selected by the scientific organizing committee on the basis of their abstract submission. Among the abstracts selected for a poster, a limited number will also be selected for a 2min Poster teaser talk.
Abstracts must be submitted in English and include the title, authors list, and affiliations each affiliation should be listed once. Selection of awardees is handled directly by the organizers. EMBO travel grants and registration fee waivers are allocated on the basis of the quality of the submitted abstract. Applicants do not need to apply separately for these but should indicate on the registration form if they wish to be considered.
Grants are allocated on the basis of the quality of the submitted abstract. A maximum of Euros per participant are available to cover registration fees, travel, and accommodation no additional subsistence costs can be covered.
