Swedish Massage - the manipulation of soft tissue for therapeutic purposes and may include effleurage, petrissage, tapotement, compression, vibration and friction. It is a soothing massage that increases circulation to the muscles. It may also include the use of oil and hot or cold packs. Some of the benefits of Swedish massage are a state of being both relaxed and alert, relief from stress, faster recovery time from an injury, relief from tired, aching muscles and a greater sense of self-awareness.
Neuromuscular Therapy - concerned with bringing relief from soft tissue pain and dysfunction. The focus is to find the origin of the pain and address it. NMT renews structural homeostasis by restoring normal physiological functioning among muscles, nerves and the musculoskeletal system.
NMT is very effective for breaking the chronic pain cycle. Hot Stone Therapy - a profoundly relaxing session in which the therapist uses heated smooth stones and oil to soothe away stress. Manual Lymph Drainage - a massage technique developed by Danish medical doctor Vodder and his wife in Vodder, who also discovered and developed a new branch of medicine called Lymphology, created this method primarily to treat patients with swollen necks or limbs due to poor lymph flow.
