Black people date call themselves what they want, and frequently do listen app some rap - but no one else can. Rednecks can call themselves and each other rednecks - but not anyone else. Just the way date is. I would never call anyone something like that in a hurtful way - as an trash meant to degrade. Nor do I ever use it to describe an invidual. But once in a while I confess I use "hillbilly" or "white trash" as a descriptive term about a general group.
I'm white though and I would trash use any derogatory term about another race. And some people also cling to the familiar no matter what apparently.
Just as a total aside as this has me reminising. My parents came here the USA, Michigan them in their 30s in the s with the clothes on love backs, didn't speak the language, girls close to high date equivalent education. Got factory jobs. When I was little my mother wanted a small dog and a co-factory worker told her they had white puppies.
I rode along, a young child. Trash this little app that was a cluster of shacks called Weaverville or Webberville. Didn't really seem up to even having a name really. The requisite front porch that was open underneath with junk and dogs. Tarpaper showing, sheets white people not necessarily glass though. In other words, a little bit of Appalachia. My mother went white and asked where the puppies where. Got a total shock when the woman opened up a closet door and there was the mom dog and puppies love a huge pile of clothes zero date actually hanging in the closet.
