Arabic literature is diverse and has a long history. There are over million Arabic speakers yet bringing Arabic literature to the Western market is a challenge. Why is that? How can Arabic literature be disseminated and which authors are currently worth discovering?

Al Jadeed Publishing focuses on linguistic and intellectual studies and contemporary Arab poetry and has received the Sheikh Zayed Book Award in the category Publishing and Technology. For the last ten years, she has been an editor for the literature and arts section of Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, where she focuses on literature and cultural reporting from the Arab world and France.
Since , she has been living in Beirut. He is also a journalist, poet and translator of poetry and is fluent in five languages. She focuses on modern literary and upmarket fiction and represents emerging voices as well as established authors from across the Arab region.
Yasmina is a PhD in philosophy and cognitive sciences. Even so, it is still often underestimated as an art. Is that really true or are appearances deceptive? What are the challenges of writing, translating and publishing this material? What literature is suitable for children? What form should it take in terms of language and narration?
