The victim was kidnapped from his home in Plymouth and driven 40 miles to a fetish dungeon in Cornwall. There he was manacled, stripped from the waist down, hit across the buttocks and threatened with rape.
Gary Jones, then 27, later told police that he thought he was going to die. He had been attacked by four men at his Mutley home and repeatedly beaten — sometimes using metal tubes from a vacuum cleaner.
Mr Jones was masked and then driven to sex chamber near Roche in Mid Cornwall, where the gang was joined by a fifth man who rented the building. Mr Jones was finally dumped on the outskirts of St Austell after his ordeal. His jaw was broken and he was covered in bruises.
Judge Paul Darlow jailed Coley for six years and five months; Bird, Reeves and Wright for five years and seven months each; and Hamilton-Bing for four years and 11 months. His trousers and underwear were taken down and he was threatened with rape. He was jailed for a consecutive sentence of eight years for the robbery, where he used a hammer as part of a gang who threatened a man in his own home.
