We offer ballet and dance classes for boys and girls from ages three years through adults. Dance classes include a variety of styles. The youngest students participate in our early childhood program taking creative dance and pre-ballet classes. Older students take subject based classes including ballet, pointe, jazz, contemporary, tap, hip hop, and modern.
We have experienced, professional instructors, giving students a strong technical foundation in each of the dance subjects. Students wishing to pursue more intensive classes or professional level classes are adequately prepared to do so. Many have gone on to professional teaching and performing careers.
Chesapeake Dance Center, we focus on dance as a performing art rather than as a competitive sport. Even though our older students may have the opportunity to attend and participate on the convention and competition circuit, that will not be our sole focus.
By focusing on dance as a performing art, our classes can provide several performance opportunities for our dancers to participate in. In this manner, students will be able to fully experience all of the benefits that dance education has to offer.
