Many vulnerable children living in Cambodia and lose their opportunities to enjoy education and their rights due to the poverty, low-educated families and the state can not support them. Knowing the importance of children and youth, especially those who are vulnerable of abandoned families and communities, drug addicted or living with poor health consideration, CGF initiate an idea of working for the children and youth.
A Cambodian society is governed by a full democracy in which all people go through the path of non violence and harmony without discrimination and sharing common concerns for the welfare of others. CGF established to serve orphans, abandoned children and high risk children in nondiscrimination to reduce ignorant and improve living condition through provide non-formal education, basic health care awareness and vocational training to improve their lives live with self-reliant, welfare, peace and prosperity in its community.
CGF's mandate is to work with the children, women and men where they live and also focus on the disadvantage group in Cambodia in order to ensure that they have equal rights and opportunities in development of knowledge and own identification. Its assignment is focusing on five priority needs such as: orphans, disable, agriculture, ageist and food programs.
It was established in Phnom Penh with a group of university student to save as orphans, disable, agriculture, ageist and food programs.
The participation of CGF in CSLHRC is to enable is to enable it to improve necessary skills in monitoring and investigation of human rights, joint-effort advocacy and information sharing with other major members.
