Interim, Inc. Our mission is to provide services and affordable housing supporting members of our community with mental illness in building productive and satisfying lives. Interim was founded in by mental health professionals, community members, and client families who saw a need for community-based alternatives to institutional care for people with psychiatric disabilities. With a strong continuum of supportive services and housing, those who are homeless are more likely to remain successfully housed once they have been moved off the street, and those at-risk of homelessness are less likely to fall into homelessness.
The incidence of, and need for, costly inpatient psychiatric hospital care is greatly reduced. Peer-led programs promoting wellness and recovery, recreational and social opportunities, supported education services, and wellness navigation.
The residential program model is a community-based alternative to inpatient psychiatric care for people experiencing a mental health crisis. Staff provide individual and group psychotherapy and counseling and other activities, using the evidenced based practices of Motivational Interviewing, Trauma Informed Care, and Harm Reduction.
