Kate hails from South Africa where she completed her undergraduate degree and then worked for two years in a premier teaching musculoskeletal practice in Johannesburg. Wanting to work and travel more, she moved to Edinburgh where she worked as a locum in the NHS.
The move to the East Midlands was to take up the role of Senior Physio for Derbyshire County Cricket, where she worked for almost 4 years, travelling full-time with the team, and also looking after the academy cricketers. After completing her Masters Degree she started work as physio for the New Zealand cricket team, travelling the world with the team for two and a half years before returning to the UK. Kate started working at this clinic in , finally purchasing the clinic in She has a soft spot for treating cricket injuries because of her background in cricket but she also sees a number of elite athletes from all over the world when they are in Derby and also remotely.
From football to Crossfit, to Ironman and pole vault! Treatment from Kate will be fairly hands-on if appropriate! No resting rehab here!! In her free time, she likes to walk her crazy working cocker spaniel, ride her bike especially on Zwift! She also enjoys travelling and exploring the UK and abroad.

When not humming her way through clinic, she and her husband run Just-Ice, a social enterprise employing people with a lived experience of trafficking and slavery by making fabulous artisan ice-cream. She is mum to 3 almost grown up children and can occasionally be seen doing kettlebell workouts to counteract her love of cake.
