Jan A. Sponsler, 73, of Bellefontaine, a beloved son, brother, cousin and friend, passed away at his residence on Thursday, February 6, , at pm. He was born on January 17, , in Bellefontaine, and was preceded in death by his father, Joseph O. Sponsler and brothers Greg and Bart Sponsler.
Jan is survived by his loving mother, Edna M. Sponsler of Bellefontaine, OH. He was overjoyed to celebrate her th birthday with her on May 18, Jan and Hoss enjoyed many years of wonderful brotherhood, with Hoss being his primary caregiver when he fell ill. He wore his dog tags with honor from the time of his enlistment until the day of his passing. Jan was also a lifelong Corvette enthusiast; his garage was never empty.
