Independent parish from the beginning of XIII e century, the commune of Stains was at the time an important commandery of Templars. Established in the seigneury two centuries later, it developed strongly in the nineteenth and twentieth century with industrialization. Today, Stains has put forward its history and its culture to become a friendly place of tourism in the Paris region.
