During a summer, I went to Hungary for a Thai massage course, I was staying in a completely remote location, and this vulnerable cat came along starved and weak. Unfortunately the time of the course has finished and nobody could give him a home. So I volunteered to adopt him and take him to the UK, where I live.
Luckily, kind-hearted people from Vienna helped me to organise vet appointments to get necessary vaccinations, blood test, microchip, passport etc. Also they transported the cat to Vienna for quarantine time until I can go to pick him up. On Monday, I fly to Vienna to pick up the cat and fly with him to Paris, where we stay overnight at the hotel to rest.
Next morning, I need to take underground, 2 trains and a shuttle bus to arrive to Ferry Port in Dieppe. Yesterday we had both flights and both trains delayed. Due to 1. We were transferred by coach to Orly Airport and we checked in to the hotel 2am. Shanti was calm during the journey, but I didn't have enough rest and sleep. He was very stressed in Paris especially on underground and train station, but I was massaging him and comforting so he can relax and feel safe.
He loves cuddles and to travel on the train :. We are waiting 5h to go by ferry to Newhaven. The journey by ferry takes 4h and then still we need to travel to Eastbourne. He is very active, eating well, feeling good, however still adapting and needing a lot of attention and love. He is following me everywhere and showing me his appreciation. Shanti is such a loving cat, I am glad he is safe and happy with me.
