Mike graduated from Bates College in with a degree in Comparative Religions. Yolanda was born in Pittsburgh, PA. She has been helping AJC students stay on track to succeed since She was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia where she is excited to start her full time career at AJC. She worked part-time last year during her senior year as a first grade teachers aide with Mrs. She is thrilled to begin this new role as the lower school SE interventionist helping and engaging with all lower school students.
Ingrid has called Richmond home for the last 18 years. Having taught for three years with Richmond Public Schools, Ingrid transitioned to the Peter Paul Development Center where she taught and served as an education coordinator. Ingrid is grateful to have been a part of the work of AJC from its inception. Many of her former students have attended the school. As the Director of Admissions Ingrid enjoys meeting with students and families.
She lives in Richmond with her family. She worked at Starbucks for 8 years and enjoyed it a lot. Her job is to support teachers so that they can do their best work with students. Taquisha is a dedicated social worker with a passion for supporting vulnerable populations. Her journey began with a deep-rooted passion for social justice and helping others, which led her to earn my Masters Degree in Social Work from VCU.
As a mother and Social Worker, her approach is rooted in empathy, active listening, and a commitment to making a difference in every life she touches.
In her spare time, she loves engaging in self care activities such as spa days, trips to Target, and trying new restaurants. She is super excited to start her new role at AJC and looks forward to building new relationships.
