My vision, mission, dream is to use Lego bricks to change the world. To this end, I use Lego in unconventional ways. Yes, I build spaceships and castles for fun sometimes, but most of the time I look at Lego as one of the best art mediums ever created. It can be reused unlike a block of limestone. It can be 2D like a painting or 3D like a sculpture using exactly the same product. It is easily understood, no years of teaching necessary. And it allows for endless creativity.
Using this nearly limitless art medium, I focus on areas of social change that are near and dear to my heart. Disability — I live with a permanent disability that prevents me from working full or part-time. I have lost countless jobs, friends, possessions, and years because my mind self-destructs regularly ie Depression, BPD, Anxiety, self-harm, suicidality.
LGBT rights — As a transgender person I use all pronouns , I feel the uneasy concern of being different every day in as simple an action as choosing a bathroom.
Religious Intolerance — I am a deeply religious person two United Church Ministers and a Mennonite ex-wife who supports the practices of all people. Openness and dialogue — I may not agree with you, but I want to hear your viewpoint. Discussion is vital to society. Sex positivity and education — Sex is a pleasurable experience that unites almost all of humanity.
