The Stan Original series, filmed in Geraldton and Perth last year, centres around the stories of four boys growing up queer in the small coastal town. Set against the same-sex marriage plebiscite of , it takes a look at the challenges faced by the disparate group of friends as they navigate a tricky time in their lives.
Spin-off series are almost always terrible โ anyone remember the Friends follow-up sitcom, Joey? Enough said. Blessedly, this bucks the trend. Look out for Joanna Lumley, who also stars. This new US medical comedy has been getting great reviews Stateside. I say this as someone who very rarely laughs out loud at American network sitcoms. This one, shot in a mockumentary style, feels Scrubs-esque and has lots of early potential.
One to watch. This version sees year-old Noah Asha Banks move to London after her mother falls for a wealthy British man. This will likely be on high-rotation if you have teens in the house. This week the team are lending a hand to some worthy charity organisations, including a community garden and a farm sanctuary.
