Jackie's love for soccer and softball shaped her childhood. As a Recreation Management Major, Jackie learned the art of programming and planning. These skills, along with project management and her superpower of being incredibly organized, would go on to serve Jackie across multiple industries. In her twenties, Jackie had the idea of owning her own sports bar.
But still, the desire to own a bar where women could feel comfortable gathering to watch a game would continue to burn. She held positions in most areas of the FOH including Assistant Managing, Server Training, and Bartending but was particularly successful in terms of customer relations and satisfaction.
The desire to give her guests the best experience possible was always at the forefront of her mind, guiding each interaction, with problem-solving becoming an invaluable skill. Megan also had an interest and talent in music. Megan spent 20 years teaching music in a high school classroom, managing large groups of boisterous teens.
As Chair of the Arts Department for 10 of those years, she mastered budgeting, scheduling, employee counseling, personnel recruitment and management, fund-raising, marketing, and organizational planning.
